I currently live in Ocala Florida in a retirement community with my fur kids and hubby. I came from the North where I’ve lived all my life. It’s been an adjustment. I knit, crochet, sew, draw, hand embroider, and whittle. I've worked with clay, painted in oils and acrylics. I also love to make my own soap. Most of all, I quilt. I enjoy the calm of working the needle, thread and cloth by hand. So I hand piece, hand appliqué, and hand quilt most of my projects. Although I’ve farmed out quilting to longarmers in the past, I came away feeling it wasn’t totally my quilt. Doing the entire project is important to me whether I hand quilt or machine quilt on my Handi Quilter Sweet 16. I’ve created this blog to journal my projects whatever they may be.
